My name is Daniel Echeverry. My last name traces back to the north of Spain, in the Basque Country. According to family history, my ancestors were exiled for being Jewish, passed through the Middle East, and eventually made their way to Argentina. Over time, my family moved north through the continent.
I was born in Colombia in 1999, the same year the euro was established.
I studied Physics and Economics at Purdue, and later Mathematics at Johns Hopkins.
I work as a quantitative researcher focused on bonds. Debt, interestingly enough, is older than money itself, which may explain why the world of fixed income carries so many rules, and rituals.
I currently live in New York City with my wife and our cat, Wasabi.
